Blackbeard’s Seafood Island
10:00 am - 11:00 pm
Eating can never be this fun when you are doing it the military combat way. Experience the “boodle fight” dining at Blackbeard’s Seafood Island Grill.
Just a few weeks after the opening of the new wing at Ayala Center Cebu, we got the chance to experience this so-called “boodle fight”.
A boodle fight is a small food feast where native dishes served on banana leaves are eaten using bare hands. It is getting popular as it shows the unique and traditional Filipino way of eating (kinamot / kamayan style) that is usually done when eating amidst nature during beach outing, camping or town fiestas.
These boodle fights remind me of the good ‘ol days, during our many visits to the provinces where townsfolk gather around a table to chomp down on food served free during fiestas.
Soon after we settled in our table, the food was served and everyone dug in. The food was amazing and the experience was exhilarating.
Blackbeard’s Seafood Island serves authentic Filipino dishes and is best enjoyed in a group of 3 or more.
In settings like these, you only have to worry about enjoying the food and the bond you are sharing with your family or friends.
If you are looking for a place to eat great Filipino food and experience a little bit of its culture, visit Blackbeard’s Seafood Island Grill – where dining is truly a feast!
