Right at the heart of the soon-to-rise master planned community, City di Mare, a new restaurant recently opened its doors offering Cebuanos a taste of luxurious seaside dining.
On its soft-opening, Parilya has already set the standard with its delectable menu of seafood and grilled dishes – all coooked Filipino-style. From the traditional kinilaw to the appetizing seafood platter, and from the classic pork barbecue to the best-loved lechon – each dish is a selection from almost every Filipino’s list of favorite food.
Parilya is set on the left wing of the yet-to-open Il Corso. The open plan of the structure allows for a pleasant and breezy dining experience. Being situated just right across the esplanade, the restaurant offers al fresco dining where guests can indulge on the magnificent view of the ocean.
The contemporary architecture of the structure adds to the luxurious feel of the overall ambiance. The smooth curves complemented with the vertical wooden panels that run from the ceiling to the floor are a good indication of how well the interior design is thought out. The large glass windows and the open space in front allow for the best view to the ocean even when dining indoors.
Hoping to check the place out while the sun is still up and later catch the sunset, my partner and I visited Parilya on a late afternoon.
Close to 5PM, the restaurant started to get packed and busy. Despite the number of guests dining in, the servers didn’t fail to attend to our needs promptly.
